PODCAST: Beware of marlin attacks...DFG salmon surveys...plus this week's best NorCal fishing reports

Rockfish and halibut are the word on the Central Coast, there are stripers in the Delta, and a lot of good catfishing to be had in Northern California Lakes. Listen in to hear the highlights of this week's news and best bites.

One of the headlines we cover this week is a great fishing story coming out of Southern California, where two anglers had their boat speared by a striped marlin!

Angler Doug Bury works to free the marlin. Image courtesy of BDOutdoors.comWe also hit on the first reports of wild fish with skin cancer (yep, skin cancer), the latest developments in Mexico's enforcement of sportfishing regulations, and the DFG salmon surveys that are now underway...just click the player above to listen!

RodMob Catch of the Week: This episode's album art is courtesy of Jerry Garner, who caught this 225 pound halibut while fishing in Alaska. Way to go Jerry, and thanks for sharing!

Jerry Garner hooked the Catch of the Week!

Got a catch to share? Post it on our Facebook page - it could be our next Catch of the Week.

Tight lines, and thanks for listening!
