Bite Update - Audio Report: Lake Camanche from Scott Vaughn

"Just had a great weekend fly fishing for bass at Camanche Lake. Craig and I hit the south side in our float tubes this weekend and got into all kinds of fish. I love getting multiple species on the same fly. All fish I caught were on an intermediate line with a size 8 back wiggle tail that I tie. We tried some bigger patterns but they wanted small. Caught a rainbow, lmb, bluegill, and tons of fat spots. Love the red eye on some of them. Water temp was 64 degrees all day long. Saw plenty of others cruising around. Get out there, the time is now for bass."

Listen to the VHF Radios from the Salmon Opener

The Northern California Ocean Salmon Opener kicked off yesterday, with some mixed results. Limits for some, skunks for others. We'll have a full report of the opening weekend action in this week's podcast, so stay tuned!
